Hi Professor & Classmates, When considering any part of our salvation, metaphors are quite useful. People can occasionally articulate their ideas quite clearly without considering the implications for God, the world, or themselves. Metaphors, especially "root metaphors," can operate subconsciously. The underlying imagery that regulates how a train of thinking proceeds is referred to as a root metaphor. It establishes a logical or image-based foundation for further reasoning (Freeman, 2010). There are eight metaphors of Paul (Roth, 2021); • Justification • Sacrifice • Gift • Purchase • New Creation • Adoption • Reconciliation • Grafting
